| Austria: | If working for more than 8 hours a day, a breastfeeding working mother is allowed two breaks, each of 45 minutes duration. However, if the mother works between 4-8 hours only, she is allowed only one 45 minute break. |
| France: | A woman breastfeeding a baby under 12 months is allowed two breaks per day, each of half hour duration. |
| Italy: | A full time working new mother has the right to take two breaks per day, each of one hour duration. You even have the facility to take them both at the end of the day and shorten your working day by two hours everyday. |
| Portugal: | Breastfeeding working mothers are allowed two hour breaks everyday. |
| Spain: | Mother of a baby under nine months is entitled to take a one hour break or two half hour breaks everyday. |
